Biosketch
Omid is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), having completed his first year in the program. Originally from Iran, he earned his M.Sc. in Energy Systems Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. During his master’s studies, he focused on renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, and hydrogen systems, and published several papers on sustainable energy and the energy transition. His current doctoral research focuses on developing sustainable methods for metal production. Outside of scientific studies, Omid enjoys hiking, camping, and mountain climbing!
