William Lefebvre

William Lefebvre '24 graduated from UMass Lowell with a degree in Sustainability and minor in Architectural Studies. 

During his time, he served as a peer tutor for Environmental Science, Chemistry Learning Assistant, Eco-Rep Supervisor for the Rist Institute for Sustainability and Energy, Media Coordinator for the Student Society of Sustainability, and a spin instructor at the Campus Rec Center. 

William was also a Commonwealth Honors Scholar and Immersive Scholar. He represented the university for global sustainability by attending the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he and another colleague published an op-ed in the Boston Globe and was featured in an interview at WGBH Boston. 

Upon graduation, William was the recipient of the Chancellor's Medal for Academic Achievement and Trustees Key. Being the first co-op at Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. though their partnership with UMass Lowell, he now works full time as an Environmental Scientist in the Energy and Sustainability team at Weston & Sampson - and his office is on this campus! 

William is continuing his education and pursuing a master's in Sustainability at Harvard University starting Fall 2025.

Commuter students can park for FREE at: 

  • East Campus Garage
    47 Pawtucket St., Lowell
    Closest lot to the Engagement Fair following Convocation. Short walk to Tsongas Center.
  • Ayotte Garage
    11 Post Office Square, Lowell
    Please tell the attendant that you are attending Convocation. You will be charged for parking if you do not mention the event.

Shuttles will also be running across campus. Check out Transportation Services for more info!

Please review the Tsongas Center building policies and be aware that metal detectors are used for every Tsongas Center event. There is a clear bag policy for all events and large backpacks are not allowed. Any bags entering the Tsongas Center will be subject to search.
