Research Interests

Eda Jane Matchak is a seasoned public servant with extensive experience in municipal administration, community development, international diplomacy, and good governance. Her passion for enhancing organizational dynamics has been shaped by roles ranging from City Year Boston (AmeriCorps) and work with the Cities of Lynn, Lowell, and Boston Public Schools, in addition to leadership positions in high-stakes diplomatic and security missions, including the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and the U.S. Department of State’s Amentum SPEO program.

Building on her academic foundation in public affairs and emergency management, she is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership/Organizational Studies to develop innovative strategies for crisis response and operational resilience. Eda’s career and academic pursuits are united by a dedication to transforming organizational and leadership practices, ensuring that institutions and organizations remain agile, effective, and resilient in the face of evolving challenges.
