Topics covered include the electronic and optical properties of solids, the properties of metals and semiconductors, optical properties of materials and their physical origins, and special topics in nanomaterials and materials science, Qualitative and quantitative applications of these materials will be included for energy, electronics, batteries, lighting, catalysis, and coatings.
